Day 2 we headed for the Grampians which is the southern
most part of the mountain range that runs down the east coast of Australia - The Great Dividing Range.

The walks and scenery again were stunning.

Silverband Falls - these falls are very unusual because
the water actually disappears into the rocks (????)

I think the best part about the trip was the wildlife
we saw (in the wild!!). We stopped and photographed these koalas who were in some trees along the winding mountain road.

I'm not sure you can see it on the pictures but there
are steps (sort of) leading down to McKenzie Falls. The signs said it was a strenuous walk and they weren't joking!!! Robyn
and I did the walk down and back. It was VERY hard work but worth it.

In the bottom right hand corner you can
see some of the track down to the falls. I don't know which was harder, going down or coming back up lol.

Phew...made it down...then had to turn around and
climb back up!

Later the same day we tackled the Grand
Canyon walk. Another tough climb/walk.

I couldn't believe these guys...they
climbed over the barriers and were taking photos of each other sitting on the very edge of this cliff...crazy French backpackers
lol.

I noticed we had some visitors feeding at the back
of the unit we were staying in.

My poor tired feet at the end of another action packed
day :-)
